"It is during our most challenging and uncertain moments that our Nation's commitment to due process is most severely tested; and it is in those times that we must preserve our commitment at home to the principles for which we fight abroad."
Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor, Hamdi v. Rumsfeld - 2004

Is there any Congressman willing to impeach Cheney and Bush?
I'm just wondering if there is any politician in Congress who is starting impeachment procedings, or at least doing the preparation. I really would feel good if our people took down these dangerous crazymakers.
Haven't heard about any impeachment proceedings being drawn up. We are in a curious position right now with the Democrats trying not to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by doing something in which the republicans can claim that they caused the coming defeat in Iraq. Right now this disaster is completely in Bush's lap and in my humble opinion the slightly smarter members of the republican party can see an almost extinction level event for themselves coming in 2008 if we have any where near the same level of troops and fighting going on in Iraq. Long story short, given the stress on the troops and out of a sense of political self preservation for the repub's, after telling Bush to shove it where the sun does not shine, themselves will start pushing for withdrawal despite all the crying and whining by Bush and Cheney. The one wild card in all this is if Bush goes out and attacks Iran, which I believe is very possible. If that happens start saying some prayers.
