Bush 2

Check it out, she's a narcissistic, perfectionist, bully who doesn't have the moral responsibility to say, "I was wrong, paid my 200K fine, and said I was sorry."

Watch out California.

Tea Bag motifs

Thanks Teeluck,

I adopted the "Don't Tread On Me" symbol during the Bush years when his bullying example was encouraging police abuse and crimes against our civil rights (some even remain to be corrected).

I believe that the Tea Bag groups don't have any idea why they use it.  It's much more fitting for the oppressed than elitist oppressors who seem incapable of clarifying what they do want...but scream for what they don't want, like taxes on the rich, or liberals teaching in public schools, and regulations on companies like BP.

Spanish Politician criticizes foes of Israel

I do believe that many leftists have a double standard when it comes to Israel.  It's okay for the U.S. to imperfectly defend ourselves against our enemies, but Israel has to be perfect.  I've been there, too.

Helen Thomas

Yuk.  This whole issue stinks.  I don't like what she said, I don't like how she's being treated, and I just come away with this thought:

She is angry at war, our war, their war, war, war, war, war.

But are we going to go there?

Are we going to ask the real questions that effect us all or are half of Americans going to think she's a Jew hater and the other half going to say Jews are too powerful (neither one of which is true), and then we'll bounce on to the next free speech controversy?

Israel and Turkey's extremist muslims' deadly actions in the past week directly led to Helen's comment.

I for one, want to do more research into the situation in Israeli, Turkish, and Egyptian waters.

What is legal?  What is moral?  What is feasible to protect the state of Israel??  At what point should America stop supporting Israel?  Philosophically?  Morally?  Over this????  Really?

In 2010, what makes Israel any more war-like that our own?
